Every month, we publish payment statistics for the Swedish mass payment market.
The statistics show payments in the Bankgiro system, where the number of payments and the total amount processed decreased in July compared to the same month previous year.
In July, 221 million payment transactions were processed through the Bankgiro system. This represents a decrease of 2 percent increase compared to the same month in 2024.
The greatest proportion of payments is from autogiro and internet payments. These two types of payment make up approximately 80% of the total number of payments on the payment side of the Bankgiro system.
The amount processed during June was SEK 1320 billion, which corresponds to a decrease of 2,4% compared to the same month last year.
