Every month, we publish payment statistics for the Swedish mass payment market.
The statistics show payments in the Bankgiro system, where both the number of payments and the total amount processed increased in June compared to the previous year.
In June, 222 million payment transactions were processed through the Bankgiro system. This represents an 13,9 percent increase compared to the same month in 2024.
The greatest proportion of payments is from autogiro and internet payments. These two types of payment make up approximately 80% of the total number of payments on the payment side of the Bankgiro system.
The amount processed during June was SEK 1377 billion, which corresponds to an increase of 8,1% compared to the same month last year.
