Bankgirot’s ability to support the bank’s digital transformation strengthened by the appointment of Jeanette Jäger

2/23/2016 Jeanette Jäger has been recruited by Bankgirot into the role of Manager of the Digital Services business area. Jeanette is currently Market and Communication Manager at Tieto Financial Services, where she has worked since 2010, and she is also a member of the board of ICA.

The Digital Services business area has experienced strong growth during recent years and there are great opportunities for continued growth through the development of new and existing products that can be an enabler for banks in the digital transformation. By digitising an increasingly larger share of the day-to-day economy for end customers, the banks can broaden their offerings and strengthen their positions. In this area Bankgirot offers among other things services for e-invoicing and e-identification as well as payments via mobiles.

During 2005-2009, Jeanette was Product and Marketing director at telecommunication company TDC and in 2005 MD for the interior design company Inne AB. Immediately before this in 2002-2005, she was Marketing Manager of one of Sweden’s first payment processors, Paynova.

Jeanette has therefore worked with digitalising in a managerial role in the banking and finance areas for over 20 years, having been part of the launch of the first internet bank and holding senior management positions within this area at Tieto, with responsibility for its e-invoice product. She is therefore well equipped to lead the business area in continuing its rapid growth by taking advantage of the market opportunities facing banking and payment institutes today.
