Visitor record at the Ekonomi & Företag fair on 7-8 October

11/9/2015 1,695 people visited this year’s Ekonomi & Företag fair, an increase of almost 350 compared to last year’s fair. Bankgiro had a stand at the fair together with SEB, Handelsbanken and Danske Bank.

The aim was to spread information and increase companies’ knowledgeof e-invoicing and tell them more about the banks’ different offerings of e-invoicing services. Visitors thought it was positive that Bankgiro and the banks profiled themselves at the fair. Our stand was well-visited and visitors had many questions about e-invoicing that they were able to put directly to their bank.

A wide range of interesting talks were arranged in parallel with the fair, focusing on inspiration and knowledge development. The biggest attraction among the talks was “Money is so yestermillenium”.

Will we still talk about GDP, earning capacity or even money in the form of cash in the future?

Micael DahlénThe question was asked by writer, public speaker and professor of economics Micael Dahlén during the course of his well-attended seminar. Those who were there thought his talk was very interesting and inspiring. A good speaker, a rock ‘n’ roll professor who wears black nail polish and a vegetarian who doesn’t like vegetables.

To summarize Micael Dahlén:

The new five-hundred-crown note comes into circulation next year – most of today’s 20-year-olds will never hold one in their hand.

Even less visit a bank. Money, economic concepts and institutions are undergoing a transformation – not even Riksbanken seems to know how to determine the value of money. Life is also coming to be less and less about money. People’s behaviour is changing.

Now it’s time to redefine what capital is and instead begin to speak about the values that can enrich our lives, careers and activities.

The next Ekonomi & Företag fair will be held from 12-13 October 2016.
